Hey all,

I recently bought an 85 SPG, as a casual restoration project (not to the degree of show-quality).

As befitting a car of it's age - it's not perfect cosmetically, but it has good "guts". All the problem areas of this model (eg wiring) have been attended to. It needs a new steering rack and ball joints at this point.

So, I am looking for ideas/directions to go in/find equipment to make this saab the funnest daily-driver for me. I currently also have a 97 9000, which I switch between every week or so - but once I have the SPG up to speed, the 9000 is going to be sold - the SPG is just funner for me in everyday driving.

Anyways, I am thinking of the following:

- Seat covers from State of Nine. Any feedback on these? On the website, the covers only cover 87-93 900's - any discernible difference between 85 and 87 seats? Other options?

- Rear window "slats". I am unsure what this is called - but it's basically the slats/blinds that you see affixed to the back of some older saabs - I am not sure they are still made/sold. Are they? Where can they be found?

- Super Aero wheels. I have access to a spare pair in good kit. Will they fit an 85? Any problems with their addition?

- Modest APC tweaks. I am not sure what to look for before trionic - redboxes? ANy suggestions of good products in this dept?

Also, I currently only get modest boost from the car (mid-yellow). What is this indicative of? I see/hear no other signs of turbo failure, but I have a spare 85 900 for parts if needed. Suggestions?

I may also, at some point alter the suspension, although probably after the above mods - any suggestions in this field?

Thanks to any and all help - I am at a loss for a saab of this vintage. Other ideas are encouraged...
