Engine running rough

Hey all, I have a stock 89' SPG, and within the last 250 miles or so, the engine started running a bit rougher. There doesn't seem to be a drop in power, and nothing seems out of the ordinary, no idiot lights on or anything. Just looking for some suggestions about what could be wrong and how to check for it. A couple notes on this, I know the timing hasn't been checked in a while, so that may need to be looked at, and I also recently ran the car out of gas, which I know wasn't a good plan, and I don't know if that could be a contributing factor or not.
