This follows up on my Feb 4th posting. Which received great suport. Now that I have dived into it. Need your help more than ever.
The car is an 89 900T, 160K. Have removed all the turbo plumbing and relocated the coil. Have been thinking ahead, here are some questions.
1. When the clutch assembly is out of the car, how do I remove the spacer tool (ST, for short) from the old pressure plate and install it on the new one, if the pressure plate needs to be replaced?
2. After the clutch assembly is back on the car, do I get the hydraulics in place to use the slave sylinder to remove the ST?
3. Read some postings on removing the clutch shaft seal. The suggested tool (by CMyles), layshaft, costs $135! Is there an alternative?
4. eEuro does not sell Saab OEM pilot bearing. Should I buy it from the dealer? How do I remove the old pilot bearing?
5. eEuro sells two clutch assemblies, Saab and Sachs, which one should I buy? It appears that the two overlap to a degree.
Thanks
