I'm aware of how an Inductive Magneto work. Thats not what this is.

This consists of a permanent magnet, a steel shutter wheel, and a semiconductor module that senses the presence or absence of the magnetic field, which opens and closes the gate in the transistor, resulting in a square wave a/c signal corresponding to charging and firing of the igniter.




You might get a little voltage out like that, but it's not how it works, so you're not really testing the system in the way it operates.
