Blown head gasket !! Caused by overheat condition when running in the driveway at 3000rpm with a glowing catalytic converter. That was VERY hot and not healthy for the engine. "Churgling" start indicates missing on a plug, and white smoke and foul odor is definitely failed head gasket. Oil burn is BLUE smoke. Over rich mixture is BLACK smoke.
Pull the plugs and examine them. Any plug with coolant contact will be scoured completely clean, others will show normal light brown ash deposit. If the coolant thru gasket leak is bad enough, water will squirt out plug hole when you crank over minus plugs. Take a compression test on all cylinders abd look for a serious low cylinder.
