ether or starting fluid ignites and burns at a much higher temperature than gasoline, and its a short extremely high heat flash that will burn the edges of your exhaust valves off with just one use....define a wee bit...a long squirt vs a short one? The metal the valves are made of isnt meant for that kind of heat. If you are lucky the damage will be slight, but any damage is going to cause you to lose compression
