I have an 88 SPG which I am trying to swap a 92 motor into, and there is a cylindrical valve on top of the motor between the throttle housing and the intake manifold. On the 88, this has three wires, and on the 92, it has only two. Is this the IAC valve, and if so, should I just swap over the one from the 88 motor? Are there any other parts that are unique to each motor?
