I'm not really sure about his second name, but nevertheless.
There's a magazine here called 'Autoreview' and there happened to be an interview with Jorgen when they reviewed 9-3 XWD. Below goes a screenshot with original text in cyrillic and a link g.Translate'd version of that article (scroll down to between shots of boost gauges and back-view of 9-3 XWD, ~2/3 of the page). My quick translation goes right below:
Jorgen N has been working for Saab since '79 and has lot's of interesting things to tell about. For example, complex-to-build classic 900 was more profitable then Saabs of nowadays. Its engine was put inside just from the top, double wishbone suspension was bolted straight to the body - there were no subframes or SKD or unit-based design/approach. Today's car is easier to assemble, but it costs much more to design.
We recall frail and delicate gear boxes of C900 and its climate throttles that were run with vacuum-capsules - Jorgen was working in climate systems dept those days. I told his that I've had for C900's and Jorgen while putting off his jacket goes on telling how they worked on 9000 design. And incidentally says: "but that (already) had been something else (rather then C900)"
