The 9000 flywheel is basically the same as the 900. It has the pressure plate pins out farther and the timing marks are in a differant place. There is no real need to lighten the flywheel, I just did it to gain a little more response at higher speeds. You will notice that it leaves the stop light at a bit higher rpm. It is not something that is required. Take the 9000 flywheel to the machine shop to get resurfaced and take the 900 one with you. I had them lighten the fly wheel and put the zero mark in the correct place. Four pounds seems like a lot to remove but there are guys that take more than that off, however, that requires more machining and gets a bit too close to some bolt holes for me. four pounds was fine. I love the results.
My car is a daily driver when I have it together. It is down right now as I am rebuilding the engine to "zero time" specs and doing some head work.
You want a clutch, flywheel and pressure plate from a 1991-1993 9000 AERO
With that clutch set up you getalmost double the friction surface. That is why these clutches hold so well. Good luck. You might want to try that east of somewhere place but do not tell them I sent you. Good luck
