Thanks for the comments. I did confirm its a plastic tank. The protrusion from the side looks like a bottle neck on a 5 gallon carboy, perhaps its a mold mark of some sort.
Anyway my neighbor who repairs metal tanks says he cant work on a plastic tank - he suggested JB Weld for a small repair. Anyone know if JB Weld is compatible with the tank material? Its basically an epoxy.
The existing tank is the 16.5 gallon size they carried for quite a while. My 93 3-door has an 18 gallon tank, anyone know when they made the switch?
