Glen,
your question first:
- labor: from 20 minutes if it goes smooth to 4 hours if it goes bad. What's the hour labor rate in that shop?
- parts: from $30 used to $350 for NOS; that sensor is no longer supplied. You might want searching this BB for information on replacement core units from some electronic shops. Also keep in mind that the same sensor was used on pre-Trionic (i.e. pre-MY'94) 9K models with DI cassettes or with N/A (naturally aspirated) engines with EZK ignition.
But back to my question - why? What's wrong with yours?
