The leather you're fixing is just like the leather on the sides of all the seats. It's thinner than the seat bottom and subject to brutal sun. I heated the seats over night in a moist hot bag. I applied leatherqie on both sides and put them back in the bag for the night.
The leatherqie works over time. This is my third application in a year and each time the fibers of the leather are more pliable.
