The reservoir is held in by the grommets only on the '87-88-89 reservoirs. Tilt the reservoir to pretty far to the driver and passenger sides of the car while simultaneously wiggling it up and out. I suck as much fluid out of the reservoir as I can before doing this, but you can also just let it spill and thoroughly run water from a garden hose arouind the area when you are finished. The water rinses the brake fluid off the painted surfaces of the engine compartment. If you leave brake fluid on these surfaces it will eat the paint.
