In Utah, getting the '80 painted. Windshield had a crack anyway, so it needs to be replaced. Much cheaper to get it done at a shop than to have them come and do it onsite or to have it towed. The drive is about 3 miles... is it legal?
edit: I spoke with a Utah Sheriff today who I work with. Turns out it is illegal, but considering the circumstances and the officer who sees you, you may get away with a fix-it warning, especially since I would be on my way directly to the shop and would be wearing eye protection.
