I posted this earlier but no replies so I htought I'd try again without much expectations-
OK- 92 900 and suddenly the anti lock light came on.
I R+R and cleaned the wheel speed sensors ( as well as the teeth) and checked ohms for speed sensors and they were fine. I then read fault code on ABS ECU under rear seat and it flashed 1222 which according to Townsend is a main valve harness etc.
I followed the check procedure and get 3 ohms from pin 18 ECU harness to ground (supposed to be 2-5 ohms) and if that is OK then you're good. Well I checked a few other things Townsend says to check A)Continuity from pin 1 on MV harness and pin 18 ecu - obviously ok - B)Pin 1 to 2 on MV body I get 9.6 ohms. I think it is supposed to be 2-5 ohms??. C)Check Pin 2 to gnd. I get 3 ohms from pin 2 on MV body to ground. I assume that should be dead short to gnd? Any thoughts?
Can't clear code (I tried to let the codes run until it flashed 0000 but after an hour it continued flashing 1222 so the light stays on. Ohher than the light on, the ABS system seems to be working fine - easy to hear it clicking and preventing lock up while stopping hard on snowy roads.
Any thoughts appreciated.
