Front Doors "Glued" Shut

Ok, this is an odd one.
I picked my 1991 900s sedan up from winter storage recently and the bottoms of the front doors were almost stuck to the frame. I have no idea what it could be, and I know that it wouldn't have been anything the owner of the storage facility did. The material is almost oily, but very sticky and I can't isolate where it's coming from. It might even be a little bit corrosive because where it had the weatherstrip glued to the frame of the car there is now rust!
Could this be rust proofing flowing out of the door somehow? (Seems unlikely)
Some sort of weatherstrip adhesive that has denatured?
Any ideas on how to clean this mess up? Nothing seems to remove the stickiness. Also, should I order new weatherstripping?
Thanks!
