Thanks guys.
I was able to keep it started by pressing the accelerator to keep idle from falling below 1000 RPM (brake with other foot while keeping throttle open enough).
I just got home (12 miles or so), and in the driveway when I was finally brave enough to let off the gas, the car was happy to idle on its own at 800. I feel it'll probably start up just fine tomorrow morning - or at least with its typical zoom/choke/zoom/choke/zoom/choke pattern till it evens out.
I wish there was a comprehensive vacuum diagram in Bentley!! Anyone put one together or seen one somewhere? I got some nice silicon hose I can replace it all with.
I asked about the wastegate because in a previous post about how it zeros in on idle from such wide extremes, someone said it was a stuck wastegate. I frequently find a hose blown off the nipple on top of the intake (the one that points front and seems to go down towards the turbo), so I figured it was a valid concern.
Now I'm wondering if I have a bad AIC valve (?) or some other issue. Note I don't necessarily think its the fuel pump since I was able to get it home. Looks like my weekend has just been rescheduled.
Chris
