Thanks Cmyles, that's exactly what I was looking for. It's odd that the transmission number doesn't begin with G or GM. Maybe it was swapped from a 99 back in the distant past. Since '79 was the first year for the 900, is it possible they weren't using the G or GM designation yet? Anyway I'll have to hunt around and see if I can find an old 4 speed with one of those #5 or #6 chain sets. Thanks again!
