Whats the condition of your negative cable (or it's connections). I recently went through a similar situation, and it was something that was exacerbated by cold temperatures (I couldn't get a restart after I had just driven the car, then it would work again). I also noticed on these no start occasions that I couldn't hear the fuel pump (my backseat is folded down most of the time, so I'm used to hearing the pump sing along)
In my case all signs pointed to a voltage irregularity so I took a look at the ground cable. There was barely any corrosion at the battery or the gearbox and body grounding locations, so I decided to pull the ground cable to inspect it. What I found, (for whatever reason) is someone had installed a very short bolt at the battery cable and engine wiring harness frame connection. So short, that once the wiring harness eyelet's and the negative cable eyelet where pressed through the bolt, there was barely 1/8" of thread exposed. So I put in a longer bolt and problem solved. That was 3 weeks ago and we have since had a significant drop in temperature and the car has started every time.
Anyway, I hope this helps, good luck.
Alex
