The pressure switch is on the oil filter housing right in the front. Check the terminal for excessive grime or corrosion.
With the ignition in the ON position (engine not running) the light should be bright. Remove the electrical connector on the switch, the light should be out. If it is not out, and still faintly lit, it's pretty certain that wire is shorted somewhere.
What year is the 900 and how many miles on it?
This must be said -- if the switch checks out, believe what it's saying. Do not run the engine any longer than necessary to test.
