Not to hijack or divert this post, but I replaced the frint motor mount on my ‘92 (fitted with an ‘89 gearbox, so it’s a solid rubber mount) and started hearing noises. The cool part: it goes away when cornering to the right. Pleasepleasepleaseplease be a RF wheel bearing!
My ‘88 made pinion noise from the transmission swap in January ‘03 until the bitter end in February ‘10. I think mine was a preload issue where the previous owner of the gearbox pulled the inner drivers and then reassembled Stephanie without some of the necessary spacers or shims. It was, however, a very reliable way to tell what speed I was going in the snow or rain, when i didn’t feel like glancing down at the speedometer. At 46 MPH, you knew about how fast you were going.
