As the summer has progressed I've begun to have an increasing problem with hot start issues on my 1991 900 Turbo Convertible.
Cold Start: consistently fires right off and idles normally
Hot Start: initial ignition but immediately dies. Short cycles on the ignition switch work better for restarting than prolonged cranking. Symptoms are; initial pop but wants to die...giving it gas will make it run...stumbles badly...then starts running but idles high for a short period before settling back down to normal idle. Exhaust smells quite rich as it begins running again.
I've checked for vacuum leaks and loose hoses/electrical connections. There is no evidence of fuel leakage in the engine compartment.
Sound familiar to anyone?
