86 900 turbo low oil pressure Posted by pmwilloughby [Email] (#2299) [Profile/Gallery] (more from pmwilloughby) on Tue, 1 Oct 2019 12:52:19 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
When I bought the 86 it was an automatic. It ran great even the automatic. It needed to have rust removed and some old body repairs redone so I decided to make the change to manual.
During the change I added gauges and changed the oil pressure sensor to a vdo with dual outputs. One for the gauge and one for the light. Now when it warms up the oil pressure light comes on. The gauge reads 50/60 psi when cold but drops below 20 when warm. There is no noise in the bottom end. Do I need to replace the oil pump? or? Thanks.
