Lets hope is the M/C, the slave is a real bear & will require 2 SAAB special tools, hard to find these days. I guard mine carefully. If the slave it is easier to do with the hood removed or at least jammed up close to vertical as possible. With lots of large triwall cardboard sheets(old mattress boxes) & heavy rags/pads you can slide the hood up the windshield & onto the top single handed. To unscrew the 3 allen-head screws you need a 6 or 7mm allen wrench AFTER CLEANING THE HEAD SOCKETS THOUOUGHLY with q-tips & gasoline. Do not allow the wrench to jump. Once you get the screws out, with the meanest locking pliers possible knurl the sides of the heads to ease turning them by fingertips. If in doubt a spare set of the screws might be a good idea.
