Don't confuse the C900 convertible windshield with the C900 hardtop (3 dr, 4dr or 5 dr) windshield. The convertible windshields are glued in and the glass is totally different (different shape) from the hardtop glass. The hardtop glass is not glued in at all, it slips into a massive rubber gasket and then is locked with a plastic locking strip. If your old windshield is pitted the technique I use is to remove the locking strip and then carefully push the windshield out from the inside. It will always crack (a lot) when you do that but who cares, right? The point is that you've salvaged the rubber gasket and can re-use it. There are generic versions of the locking strip available.
