Winter Storage Posted by seerwaab [Email] (#2831) [Profile/Gallery] (more from seerwaab) on Fri, 8 Oct 2021 08:43:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Lots of posts on this with differing opinions. Going to store my 94 900 Convertible in a self storage unit from 11/1 - 4/1 for the first time. I live in New England with cold/snowy winters, and need the garage space for my other vehicles. I was planning on doing the following:
1. Change oil
2. Fill gas tank and add gas stabilizer (recommendations?)
3. cover tailpipe with plastic bag and or a tennis ball (rodent & moisture prevention)
4. place rodent repellent in and around the car and under the hood
5. remove battery and keep on a battery maintainer at home
6. cover the car with the car cover
7. NOT set parking brake
Questions:
1. Should I be concerned about stuck brakes on 4/1?
2. Should I be concerned about tires?
3. Any other thoughts?
