Good points.
Only fluid being lost is in the bell housing.
To recap, I replaced the master, slave and line six years ago. Two days ago my clutch pedal went to the floor, I checked the fluid and the chamber for the clutch was drained, I added more and bubbles came up and the fluid went down. Master is dry, line is dry.
I went out the next day, stripped it down to access the slave. There was fluid in the bell housing. I added more fluid and had a helper pump the pedal. Clutch seemed to be working fine again so put a spacer in the fingers.
I went out there today and the checked the reservoir and it hadn't dropped. No new fluid in the bell housing and bolts were dry. Pedal was soft but came back up after pumping then there was a slight leaking from the rubber accordian that hides the piston so I'm pretty sure it's the slave.
Just odd that it went from fine to really bad to not so bad.
