I think this is on 86, it's definitely on 88's.
classic saab safety feature: overpressure sensor / overboost attached to the manifold pressure will trigger a hard fuel cut to prevent unsafe engine things happening.
but it leads to:
crank no fuel pressure
random stalling
when the sensor goes bad, because the circuit opens up. Its up under the dash, to the left of the steering wheel where the cruise control is.
I would delete it. they are really unreliable and mechanical. It's similar to the pressure transducer but is an on/off switch.
to remove:
1. pull back right passenger footwell carpet.
2. find the correct 2 wires back over that lead from that area to the sensor
3. unplug the harness that goes to the sensor and plug the two wires (shorting it out).
Which two wires... I don't remember.
Also next time you redo your manifold boost pressure for your APC pressure transducer (does an 86 have an APC?) and dash gauge, you can just remove that extra T that goes off to the on/off switch
