I recently repaired the rust you cite on my 3 door. Here's how I did it:

The round rubber "tube-shaped" weather strip is held in place by small white plastic clips. These are T-shaped; the top of the "T" peirces the rubber seal, the straight stalk of the "T" snaps into the door metal. These clips are dificult to remove from the door without breaking, but you *can* jimmy the rubber seal off the clip instead by stretching the rubber first to one side, then the other. Reinstall is the reverse.

If one of the clips are broken or the door too rusty to reuse the old clip, you can substitue an appropriate pop-rivet (you have to cut a slit in the seal).

The flat rubber seal at the very bottom edge of the door is held on by black aluminum pop rivets - avail at the dealer for about $2 each, you need six, I think, for each door. Drill out the old rivets and remove the rubber seal.

Grind out any and all rust down to clean metal. A Dremel tool works great and makes quick work of it. If you want to *permanently* fix this (ie, it'll never come back), seal the repair with POR-15 paint (avail at http://www.por15.com).

You can get a can of color matched paint for your saab (cheap at a good auto parts store, some NAPA's and others can even put it in an aerosol can!)

Note, if any of the rust has eaten through the door (so that you can see the interior of the door), it is well worth the extra 15 minutes to remove the door panel. Then you can treat the rust from the backside, too. Just remove all the screws you can find and unthread the door lock knob - you'll figure it out just fine.
