Ok - I replaced the windshield, now the clip scratches have gotta go. I suspect finding good glass out of a yard is pretty much hopeless, so after modifying the clips, I think I'll take a shot at polishing the scratches out. Eastwoodco.com has a kit for 35 bucks or so that's supposed to handle scratches that your fingernail won't catch. Any experience out there on this?
I'd be willing to replace the glass from a yard if I knew for sure what late years came with the new clips (& unscratched glass). Anybody know? I'm not too confident on finding the right years since the service bulletin came out in 89 with new part no's. for mod. clips and yet I got the old clips on my '91 SPG - GO FIGURE!
Got the car close to showroom this summer & now those scratches just bug the heck outta me - got to fix 'em.
Ideas - PLEASE
