Adequate voltage = 12.25V where I checked. I'll try using the jumper wire like you mentioned. Kinda like hotwiring it, eh?
You mentioned a neutral safety switch? This car is a stick shift... The wires in general are suspicious, since several times throughout this winter I had to re-insulate various wires where they entered plug connector housings. The original insulation came off like modelling putty- something had softened it beyond the point of no return. I re-heatshrinktubing-ed the wires I found, but... I'll try hotwiring it tomorrow in the light. Thanks.
