I'm guessing the reason they won't stop is the switch, and the reason they won't park is the motor. Many wiper motors are replaced when they just need to be overhauled. You can leave them parked in the middle of the windshield for that crazy "aero" look, but you don't need that 'cause you have an SPG.
Removing the motor from the car is simple and takes half an hour (my time, shadetree). Pry off the linkage connection to the motor with a screwdriver (do not damage the white plastic ring, and replace it if it's missing) and remove the three short bolts holding the motor in the bracket. Then maneuver it thirty different bizarre ways to get it out of the car. Bring it to your workbench, remove the cover on the back, and remove the two long flat blade screws at the ends of the black canister to separate the motor housing. You will feel the magnet tugging on the canister, so it may appear to not want to open. The grease inside will have turned to brown, gunky glop. Clean it All out. Regrease the moving parts and lightly coat all the electrical contacts with electrically conductive grease. Note that the small, spring-loaded magnets around the motor itself will have to be reseated, and it takes three hands. One of mine was worn on one corner only, suggesting bad assembly. The grease will help prevent corrosion of the contacts. Throw it back together, put it in the car, and you're done. While you're at it, pry off the black plastic covers where the wiper arms join onto the linkage just below the windshield, outside of the car. Remove the arms, and oil until your heart is content into the linkage- mine actually started binding and siezed up on me on the driver's side. I hope this is helpful and didn't take years to read. If you have any more questions, I will check this post tomorrow.
