It's also possible that the seals are leaking where the reservoir nipples go into the master cylinder. I'm fighting that right now on my 88 SPG. See if there is wetness on the top of the cylinder, and if there is try moving the reservoir a bit side-to-side and push it down a bit. Might still have to replace the two seals, but if you keep the reservoir topped up you won't have to worry about losing your brakes.
