Oil Leak Source 91 9KT

Hi Everyone --
I have a pretty serious (but drive-able) oil leak in my 91 9KT. I can't see the source but it is on the passenger side, either at the pan seal or above it. The oil level sensor is leaking a little but it is not the source of the major leak. Any ideas? If it's not the pan, what's above the pan on that side that could cause this? Looks like removing the pan is a major job (removing part of the subframe?????)
Thanks in advance for any input! Joe
