How old is your battery? Have you had it tested. The '91s suck a lot of power from the battery with the car off. I have found that batteries can fail unexpectedly at any time. Just last week, I discovered that my 85 month battery in my '91 9000S had failed in less than 48 months. I was trying to read some check engine codes as my check engine light had been illuminated for a while. I had the key on for about 2 minutes when the alarm started to sound. I turned the key off, and then tried starting the car. The battery was dead. I recharged it, and took it in for testing. It was bad and had to be replaced. I had no indications previously that it was going. The day it went dead was even unseasonbly warm. BTW, I haven't had any check engine light illuminations since I replaced the battery. The codes cleared with the power off, and haven't come back. Makes me wonder if voltage problems with the battery could have been my problem.
