Sorry for having been anonymous.
I did the thing you're planning to do about a month ago. The sensors are quite easy to pull off, just remove the wheel and the 13mm screw that hold it. You have to pull straight to alow it to come out easly. After that, you have to remove or to just "move" the inner fender line, to allow the wire to pass from "outside" to "inside" the car. The connectors are behind the false bulkhead, at the side of the "aquarium" (one for side). Just pull out the cover (it's a junked car, right?) and you'll find them.
The hardest task is to bend the inner fender line to reach the passing point int the car chassis. I did the removing job in about 40 minuts.
I paid the two sensors 50 EUR (about 40 USD), but I had a "warranty" on them. I could pay only 30 EUR (25 USD), but with no warranty and I didn't wanted to risk.
The sensors worked well for a monthe or so, and after the ABS light came out a couple of times. Turned off and on the car and worked good.
Let us know if you'll have problems (you shouldn't have, it's very easy)
