Sorry, I think kerosene is diesel. Guess there is a white kerosene, which is a more refined version used for portable heaters, etc. Thanks for the note will make sure it's diesel.
What plan to do is simply pour it thru engine with valve cover removed to flush impurities to drain into a pan at bottom before going through the running engine with diesel added to oil, etc. Want to get out as much physically loose material as possible before starting engine. Think it will help.
