There's a lot of loose particles on walls and on top of engine innards beneath removed valve cover - you can put wipe your finger across the surface and come up with particle residue. This was caused by detergent action from using 50/50 synthetic oil on an engine that had "unknown" big build-up. Want to flush that away to the bottom of the engine into a big catch pan (oil pan removed). Know would be ideal to thoroughtly clean off all built up oil deposits inside engine, but that's pretty costly.
Once get flushed clean, plan to change back to old oil and hopefully get it running for now.
I just wasn't sure the diesel would drain down thru and float particles away. Now think it will work; however, will take several flushing I think.
There are no clogged oil passageways other that screen on oil pump intake. That will be cleaned too.
Thanks for your help.
