I hear a lot of talk on the zf trannies. I hear people saying that bmw, audi, volvo, alfa, all use the same trannies. Now, I have a 91 9kt cd and it has 125 on the spedo and I am scared green that the tranny might just go some time. I love this car, it is my third 9k but my first auto. I cannot, repeat cannot afford to fix a tranny, or replace. I would have to by a civic or something awfull like that. I AM SCARED BECAUSE i HEAR OF SO MANY SAAB AUTO FAILURES. But I have owned a volvo, my girlfriend has a 740 with 130 and the auto tranny doesn't worry me. I have seen the trannies in volvos go 300k! I have also heard of much less tranny related drama with bmw's. please shed some light on my dark area of knowledge. Thank you.
