and when it is in good shape, it is very safe, comfortable, and good performing.
In Hong Kong, all European used cars (>7 years old) are extremely cheap except for Bimmers and Merce. There are so many used 9kt parts in Hong Kong that one should ship them to the US.
It is a joy when others dump 9kt's in despire and I can keep it in good shape. Plus, I have known so much about cars from the troubles of my 9kt.
These being said, I was stranded by my 9kt 3 times in my 3 years of ownership: battery, overheating (due to dead relays), and bad DI cassette.
93 9kt 2.0LPT 60k KM in HK.
