Crank/No Start - Update

My car is back on the road again. I just wanted to share my observations.
I had posted that the car ran fine, was parked for a short time, then would crank but not fire. I noted that the tach did not move/bounce at all. According to many previous posts this would indicate a failure of the Crank Position Sensor (CPS). The other likely culprit was the DI.
I put my DI on another car and that car would not start. My new DI arrived from Eeuroparts today so I put it on and the car started right up.
So, based on my experience I'd say a lack of a bouncing tach does not indicate a bad CPS.
I'm not sure why my DI failed. I give it fresh plugs gapped at .9mm every 7-10K miles and use dielectric grease in the boots. I guess there must be some other parameter that leads to their failure. This DI probably had 70K miles on it.
