Of course Volvos are more reliable. I had a '62 P1800 with nearly 240k miles on it. It sat next to my house for 15 years without being driven (wife didn't want me spending money to do cosmetic restoration. I put an add on IPD board and a guy calls me from Denver and says he want to drive it home, car is in California. I told him if he could drive it away it was his GRATIS! well, he came out, put a new battery in it, dropped the fuel tank to drain it, spent two days on it, and drove away a happy man. My other two volvos, 1989 240DL and a 1967 140S require only oil filter and gas. Can't say the same with the 9000 I had. In fact the total cost of repair on the Saab in the 4 months that I owned it was more than the all of the Volvos maintenance combined including the cost of purchase of all of the volvos!
