I recently fitted Goodyear GS-D3s in 205/55-16 VR to my automatic CSE. They are very grippy in both wet and dry, and are supposed to last a very long time (tread wear rating something like 280 as I recall). I find them a bit unsubtle, maybe because there's still so much tread depth, but they are better after (1) having the toe-in adjusted and (2) putting up the pressures. They are certainly softer-riding than the Pirelli P6000 they replaced. I also find them pretty quiet and resistant to picking up on road ruts and markings - and they look pretty good, too. Not cheap at about £90 each inc VAT but will be good value if they last as long as threatened.
