I have a '92 9000 turbo 5-speed, and as great a car as it is to drive, I would never trust it to get my wife where she is going everyday. So...she drives a 2000 9-5 Aero automatic. And everything is good. :)
While the automatics are OK in the later 9000 models, they don't compare to the reliability and performance of the Japanese, electronically-controlled automatics in the 9-5.
I also second the "get off the GM thing" statement...these are the best cars built with the name SAAB on them yet. Period.
