I'll have to check out a power cap at some point, I haven't really heard too much about them.
The antenna cable does run alongside with the power cable, might be a possibility of the cause of static from radio. Unfortunately, I don't have another radio to try out to see if it is the radio itself.
Overall I think it must have something to do with it being so close to the antenna and antenna wiring (like you said) so what i'll probably try to do is take everything out and place it toward the center or right part of the car and see if the static is still there.
I use the same size power cable as you do, 4 AWG 21mm2, doesn't fit into the amp so I got a couple of things from home depot to reduce it and put a smaller wire into the amplifier only a few bux :)
I'm working mad hours so hopefully as soon as I can get around to trying some more things I'll find the problem, wish me luck and thanks for the tips :)
