Some times the inside of the master cylinder gets scoured, so rebuilding is an iffy thing, it doesn't cost that much, so go with a rebuilt.
There are 2 ways of bleedig, put pressure on top of the brake fluid reservoir, or pull a suction on the bleeder port on the tranny case. Always keep the brake res. full during bleeding as the clutch takes fluid from a port a few inches from the top, not the bottom where the brakes get the fluid.
