it seems like something new pops up every week these days, but my 93 9000 CSE auto started making a clicking noise in the front right, which might be the same mystery noise my 92 9000 started making before it got louder and i figured it was probably a noisy strut or something.

i thought it might be a bad outer cv joint, but here's the thing, it made the noise when i was backing straight out of a parking spot, it made it when i was slowing down to a stop, it makes it going very slow making turns, even slight. wheel doesn't have to be turned all the way to click/clack, doesn't seem to prefer right or left turns, just when i think i've got it identified, it surprises me. i only notice it at slow speeds. i don't hear it when i push side to side or up and down or back to front on the car.

i have yet to jack it up and play with it. on my 92, if it is the same noise, it just got louder until now i can tell something somewhere is a little loose and i just live with it.

i replaced the strut/spring assembly with a used unit about a month ago because the strut was shot, and all of my work seems to be tight still.

any ideas??
