i finally got around to doing my inner and outer right c/v joints. i packed those buggers as full as i could get them. the amount of grease i used was more than came with the kits, so i was curious if you can get to much in there?
notes:
much easier than expcected
access to a press is required for the inner c/v removal and refitting
there were many great write-ups on this procedure including quasi. but i have to add my 2 cents. many write-ups were a lazy approach to the process. removing the caliper and pulling the entire axle are a must for repair. it's just to hard to leave that stuff in there. there were many important comments ommited in most procedures that were either just errors, over sights or just lazy backyard procedures.
lastly, a vibration under load and/or on sweaping turns doesn't always mean inner driver/cv from what i can tell. my outer (which was in bad shape) was the culprit for these symptoms. my inne was in perfect shape and tight. the outer caused all my issues...
