Dunno where you may have gotten that piece of illogic.
Brakes work on Friction.. Spraying ANYTHING onto a cleamn metal surface will "at best" reduce the available friction.. and in reality produce a goo onto yr pads that will clog their surfaces and likely prevent decent braking for several hundred miles or possibly longer.
there is NO way to prevent rusting of the rotor faces.. but Brake use cleans it off almost instantly.
Suppose one could keep their new rotors onna MantlePiece all carefully wrapped in Food film IF rust was a big Worry :-)
