not a fair comparison to take your stage 3 race car

up against a stock M3 and call it a race or equals. There is no stock aero or other saab that could even match my oversized 740iL. There may be some small turbo boost bands in that range that it would accelerate the 9000 better, but in the end my 740 automatic in sport shift mode will outrun my 9000CD 7 days a week. My 9000 is one of the earlier models with the 2.3L engine and higher compression to produce approx the same hp as the aero.
If one took a tuned M3 against your tuned 9000, it would run circles around you. In a straight line, in curves, acceleration, or top end. The M-3 is faster, and handles better than the 9000 out of the showroom.
Don't get me wrong, I love my saab because it's all around a better buy than an M-3 and more versatile. In the winter time I can push snow with my bumper on my 9000 like a plow. On those dayse I cant even get my BMW out of the garage because it won't make it up the hill out of my driveway.
PS: if we are making unfair comparisons, I know a guy that has a late 60s mini cooper that can get to 60 in less than 4.5 seconds. Pretty sure he could beat any of my cars...or your stage3.
Best Regards,
David
